    FAQ

What is a child development Centre?

We call child development centers the places where parents go with small problems related to a child’s development. A child’s development is not a matter of a single area. There is physical, emotional, social, play, ADLs, language. This is a multidisciplinary aspect of a child’s development. That is why it should be handled by a single professional. A neurotypical child or a normally developing child will have small problems. There is a gap between these. That is what we call goals. Then, in the first assessment, we will understand in which areas our child has problems. Then, in that team, there will be a patient therapist, a speech therapist, a developmental educator, and if the child has behavioral needs, there will be a behavior therapist. There will be a pediatrician, if the child has physical needs, there will be a physiotherapist. They will first see the child and assess the child. After this, after the consultation, we will go to enrollment, that is, for any therapy, there will be a senior consultant, a chief consultant, they will conclude all these reports and guide them. With this goal in mind, each therapist will work in each department every month so that the child’s progress is evaluated every month and the parent will sit with him and see this progress and see the therapy. Ideally, the therapy hours will be reduced by the time the enrollment in school starts, and the schooling hours will be increased and the therapy will end gradually.

You can know the developmental delay of your child by analysing the growth of your child according to their age, such as movements, communication, and social interactions.

The five major stages of child development are newborn (birth to 2 months), Infant (2 to 6 months), Toddler (1 to 3 year), preschooler (3 to 5 year), and school age (6 to 16 year).

Age plays a very important role in every therapy. Various conditions in children may be diagnosed either early or later. Our services begin from the newborn stage itself. A child’s age is an important factor in planning and providing treatment.

The duration of the evaluation depends on the child’s age, condition, and how the child responds to therapy. In the initial stage, 4 or 5 sessions or sometimes more may be required. This helps us understand the child’s condition and assess their response to different therapies. In counselling therapies, changes may sometimes be seen very quickly. However, in therapies such as behavior therapy and speech therapy, it may take more time to see progress.

Parental involvement can greatly improve a child’s progress. It helps bring positive changes in the child’s approach toward therapy and reduces fear or hesitation related to therapy.

After each therapy session, a meeting with the doctors is possible. Parents can directly understand their child’s evaluation results and discuss new treatment approaches. This ensures clear and open communication between doctors and parents.

We provide online therapy services through video calls and, when required, through phone calls as well. Online services are offered for those who live far away or in situations where immediate treatment is necessary. It is also helpful for children who may feel uncomfortable visiting the clinic, allowing them to receive therapy from the comfort of their home.
